A Wedding of Two?

Of course there is the BRIDE & GROOM in a wedding. Yet, many may not realise that there are more to it before an actual wedding takes place.

Forget about the dollars & cents... In Singapore, that is the obvious issue everyone is facing due to the high cost of living here...

A little bit more insight is to social problems -- family issues. Can the in-laws from both sides get along? I believe not every families can get along well. That is understandable considering the way individuals live their life differently since young. Would there be a way to conquer in an amicable way? What if both sides refuse to give in? For Malays, we call it "dugaan", a test from God.

Looking at it simply, shouldn't a wedding be all about you and your partner? After all, you are marrying him/her and not their mother/father? Easier said than done because human has the most influencing power than anything else.

What would you if there are disagreements between in-laws with regards to wedding preparations/arrangements?

A New Year, A New Beginning

This is probably the most commonly used yearly statement: A New Year, A New Beginning

Despite its simplicity, it probably helps to describe what the majority feels. Including me too. As the new year sets in, everyone starts making their new year resolution, in the hope of a better year ahead. Oh well, year 2012 had certainly been interesting, especially with the senseless rumours that the world would end on 21st December 2012 (had been a great joke for me!).

So what will year 2013 be in stored for you?

Scrolling through Facebook, here are some resolution which I had found interesting posted by others;
1. to get rich, richer and more richer (I like this the most!!)
2. to learn Mandarin and expand my business to China (a resolution made by a Malay mate, inspiring me to take up a third language as well)
3. to travel to exotic places that her greenie can't be dragged along (some of you may be confused, but that greenie is actually a soft toy. A resolution made by my close friend. If only I have the cash to travel to exotic places.)

A new beginning is always great to look forward to as a motivation to kick start the year ahead. I am still in search for it... hopefully, all my resolution would be fullfilled. Nevertheless, end of Year 2013 is definitely something that I am looking forward to as I would be ...

Mind me for the mild posts in this blog. To be honest, starting this blog serves a purpose, which is to improve on my writing skills for my marketing profession.

So Cheers to 2013!
